The Journal of Experiments is a record of other people’s experiments and the lessons they took from them.

Each entry recounts one experiment. Who ran it, what they were trying to find out, what happened, and what they concluded from it. The point is the lesson, retold plainly so it outlives the moment.

My own lessons from the field and from expeditions are kept separately, in Captain’s Notes. The essays and research live at Douglas Labs.
